Khandaq Ka Waqiya
Mir Hasan Mir · 2022
The Prophet and his companions face a great challenge at the Battle of the Trench. Imam Ali steps forward to defend the faith and defeats the enemy champion.
Haider Ki Zulfiqar Ke Johar Dikhaon Ga. Khundak Na Khaein Aap Main Khandaq Sunaon Ga.
I will show the brilliance of Haider's Zulfiqar. Do not be anxious, I will narrate the story of the Trench (Khandaq).
1- Khandaq Mein Dekhney Ko Musalman They Bohat. Zahir Mein Sab Rasool Pe Qurban They Bohat. Waisay Tu Woh Nabi Ke Nigehban They Bohat. Bas Ibn-e-Abad-e-Wod Se Pareshan They Bohat. Hanstay They Unn Ko Dekh Ke Kuffar Mauj Mein. Kuch They Ohad Ke Bhagney Walay Bhi Foaj Mein.
Many Muslims were present at the Trench to watch. Outwardly, many were ready to sacrifice themselves for the Prophet. They were, in name, the protectors of the Prophet. But they were all deeply troubled by Ibn-e-Abd al-Wud. The infidels laughed at them in delight. Among the army were also some who had fled the Battle of Uhud.
2- Lashkar Mein Aisay Mard Bhi Aaye They Be Misal. Aata Tha Sirf Khaimay Ke Andar Unhein Jalal Kartay They Yaad Dil Mein Woh Jang-e-Ohad Ka Haal..Bhagay They Aisay Sansein Abhi Tak Na Thin Bahaal. Iss Bar Tu Ajeeb Hai Aafat Pari Hoi. Pichey Hai Khayi Aagay Hai Khandaq Khudi Hoi.
Such unparalleled men had also come into the army. Their fury was only visible inside their tents. In their hearts, they recalled the state of the Battle of Uhud; they had fled in such a way that their breath had not yet returned to normal. This time, a strange calamity had befallen them. Behind them was the ravine, and in front, the trench had been dug.
3- Kehte They Dil Hi Dil Mein Woh Salman Ko Bura. Oss Ne Hamarey Sath Yeh Acha Nahi Kiya. Kyun Mashwara Rasool Ko Khandaq Ka De Diya. Ajmi Ne Inteqam Yeh Arbon Se Le Liya. Sarkar Ne Suni Nahi Aakhir Kissi Ki Baat. Phir Aaj Baton Baton Mein Rakh Li Ossi Ki Baat.
In their hearts, they cursed Salman. "He has not done well by us. Why did he advise the Prophet to dig the Trench? This Persian has taken revenge on the Arabs." The Prophet did not listen to anyone's words in the end. Yet, today, in the course of events, He upheld that very advice.
4- Guzrey Hain Chaar Saal Hi Iss Baat Ko Abhi. Laye They Pehli Bar Issay Bazm Mein Ali. Ab Jitna Yeh Qareeb Hai Utna Nahi Koi. Our Aaj Tu Hadees Bhi Irshad Ho Gayi. Waqif Azal Se Hai Yeh Hamarey Mizaj Se. Salman Ahlebait Mein Shamil Hai Aaj Se.
Only four years have passed since this matter. Ali had brought him (Salman) into this gathering for the first time. Now, no one is as close as he is. And today, a Hadith was also proclaimed: "He (Salman) has been aware of our temperament since eternity; from today, Salman is included in the Ahl al-Bayt."
5- Kehte They Bees Roz Se Yeh Tees Mar Khan. Kuch Hain Poraney Dost Bhi Aaye Hoye Yahan. Aapas Mein Achi Baat Nahi Hain Laraiyaan. Kuch Tu Karein Khayal Hamara Sheh-e-Zamaan. Aisa Na Ho Keh Rishta Porana Yeh Toot Jaye. Aye Kash Sulha Kar Lein Nabi Jan Choot Jaye.
For twenty days, these 'warriors' had been saying, "Some old friends have also come here. Fighting amongst ourselves is not a good thing. O King of the Age, have some consideration for us. Let it not be that this old relationship breaks. If only we could make peace with the Prophet, so our lives might be spared."
6- Ik Roz Amr Ne Yeh Dikhai Bohadari. Khandaq Ko Paar Kar Ke Idhar Aa Gaya Shaqi. Khaimon Ke Pas Aa Ke Yeh Aawaz Oss Ne Di. Itnay Ho Aik Mard Bhi Tum Mein Nahi Koi. Baithay Hoye Hain Khaimon Mein Munh Ko Chupaye Hain. Kya Aurton Ko Sath Nabi Le Ke Laye Hain.
One day, Amr showed his 'bravery'. The wretched one crossed the Trench and came to this side. Coming near the tents, he called out, "Are there so many of you, and not a single man among you? You are sitting in your tents, hiding your faces. Has the Prophet brought women along with him?"
7- Phir Aik Bar Bola Sitamgar Dahaar Kar. Eman Hai Tumhara Suna Hai Jehad Par. Maro Ya Marey Jao Gay Maidan Mein Agar. Janat Mein Tum Ko Milna Hai Apne Khuda Se Ghar. Lo Main Khara Hoon Apna Muqadar Sanwar Lo. Mar Jao Mere Hath Se Ya Mujh Ko Mar Lo.
Then the tyrant roared once more, "I have heard that your faith is based on Jihad. If you fight, you will either kill or be killed in the battlefield. You are to meet your God in Paradise. Look, I am standing here; improve your destiny. Either die by my hand or kill me."
8- Allah Re Oss Ka Khof They Khamosh Sab Ke Sab. Danton Talay Zaban Thi Our Sil Gaye They Lab. Din Mein Andhera Cha Gaya Aankhon Mein Misal-e Shab. Nagah Aagay Aaya Woh Gustakh Be Adab. Munh Tak Rahi Thi Maut Bhi Oss Be Usool Ka. Naizay Se Chak Kar Diya Khaima Rasool Ka.
By God, such was the fear of him that everyone was silent. Tongues were bitten, and lips were sealed. Darkness like night descended upon their eyes in broad daylight. Suddenly, that insolent, disrespectful one stepped forward. Even Death was staring at the face of that unprincipled man. With his spear, he tore through the Prophet's tent.
9- Gustakh Ne Yeh Be Adabana Kiya Jo Waar. Kuch Our Dar Ke Hat Gaye Ashab-e-Janisar. Uth Uth Ke Dekhney Lagi Pehlu Se Zulfiqar. Aisa Howa Tha Door-e-Payamber Mein Pehli Bar. Tha Ibn-e-Abad-e-Wod Ka Sitara Zawwal Mein. Rehmat Ko Kainat Ne Dekha Jalal Mein.
When the insolent one struck this disrespectful blow, the self-sacrificing companions retreated even further in fear. Zulfiqar began to rise from its sheath to look. This was the first time such a thing had happened in the Prophet's era. The star of Ibn-e-Abd al-Wud was in decline. The universe saw Mercy (the Prophet) in a state of Divine Fury.
10- Ashab Par Nabi Ki Sawali Nazar Uthi. Iss Qalb Ki Zaban Karey Band Hai Koi. Lekin Wahan Tu Pehle Se Bhar Kar Thi Khamshi. Utha Na Teen Bar Mein Koi Bajuz Ali. Teyar Kaisay Hotey Shahadat Ke Wastay. Kalma Parha Tha Mal-e-Ghaneemat Ke Wastay.
The Prophet's questioning gaze fell upon the companions. "Is there anyone who can silence the tongue of this heartless one?" But there, silence had already filled the space. No one rose, three times, except Ali. How could they be ready for martyrdom? They had recited the Kalma for the sake of the spoils of war.
11- Aakhir Khuda Ki Marzi Bata Di Rasool Ne. Allah Ke Ali Ko Sada Di Rasool Ne. Apna Amama Apni Abba Di Rasool Ne. Pehlu Mein Zulfiqar Saja Di Rasool Ne. Sher-e-Khuda Jehad Ko Teyar Ho Gaye. Ik Waqt Mein Do Ahmad-e-Mukhtar Ho Gaye.
Finally, the Prophet declared the Will of God. The Prophet called out to God's Ali. The Prophet gave him his own turban and his own cloak. He adorned his side with Zulfiqar. The Lion of God became ready for Jihad. In one moment, there were two 'Ahmad-e-Mukhtar' (the chosen Ahmad).
12- Ban Kar Riza Nabi Ki Ali Murtaza Chaley. Tha Hukam Abu Turab Se Pichey Qaza Chaley. Apna Shikar Karne Ko Shair-e-Khuda Chaley. Kehte Hoye Zaban Se Ya Fatima Chaley. Iss Naam Ke Tofail Jo Chahe Abu Turab. Khandaq Kya Kainat Ulat De Abu Turab.
Ali Murtaza walked forth, becoming the Prophet's pleasure. It was as if Death itself followed the command of Abu Turab. The Lion of God walked forth to hunt his prey, saying "Ya Fatima" with his tongue. By the grace of this name, whatever Abu Turab desires—not just the Trench, Abu Turab could overturn the entire universe.
13- Main Ibn-e-Abad-e-Wod Hoon Pukara Woh Be Khabar. Bolay Imam Hum Abu Talib Ke Hain Pisar. Jari Rajaz Tha Dono Taraf Se Ba Karofar. Oss Simt Kul-e-Kufr Tha Eman-e-Kul Idhar. Oss Ne Kaha Keh Lato Hobul Ka Badan Hoon Main. Maula Pukarey Dekh Le Phir But Shikan Hoon Main.
"I am Ibn-e-Abd al-Wud," called out the ignorant one. The Imam replied, "We are the sons of Abu Talib." The recitation of battle poetry (Rajaz) was fierce from both sides. On that side was the totality of disbelief; on this side was the totality of faith. He said, "I am the body of Lat and Hubal." The Master (Maula) called out, "Then look, I am the Idol-Breaker."
14- Shair-e-Khuda Ki Baat Pe Gurraya Be Adab. Bolay Ali Zaban Chalata Hai Be Sabab. Hasrat Nikal Taig Utha Waar Kar Bas Ab. Nikli Jo Zulfiqar Tu Moqa Miley Ga Kab. Main Do Karon Ga Tere Abhi Aik Waar Mein. Dozakh Bharak Rahi Hai Tere Intezar Mein.
At the Lion of God's words, the disrespectful one roared. Ali said, "You wag your tongue without reason. Fulfill your desire, draw your sword, and strike now. Once Zulfiqar comes out, when will you get another chance? I will split you in two with a single blow right now. Hell is blazing, waiting for you."
15- Khali Gaya Jo Waar Tu Ghisya Ke Reh Gaya. Tha Azdaha Zameen Pe Bal Kha Ke Reh Gaya. Bekar Waar Ho Gaye Jhonjla Ke Reh Gaya. Chakar Ali Ke Kaat Ke Chakra Ke Reh Gaya. Aakhir Nabi Ka Qaul Tha Sorat Badal Gayi. Sad Ki Tarha Zaban Dahan Se Nikal Gayi.
When his blow went empty, he was left frustrated. He was like a snake writhing on the ground. His strikes became useless, and he was left fuming. Having circled Ali, he was left dizzy. In the end, it was the Prophet's word; the situation changed. Like a 'Sad' (the letter), his tongue protruded from his mouth.
16- Uthi Jo Zulfiqar Tu Sab Ki Nazar Phiri. Jibreel Pichey Pichey Phiray Yeh Jidhar Phiri. Ashab Dhondtay Hi Phiray Keh Kidhar Phiri. They Iss Qadar Safai Se Sar Kaat Kar Phiri. Zalim Jahan Khara Tha Wahan Se Hila Nahi. Sar Kab Ka Kat Chuka Hai Badan Ko Pata Nahi.
When Zulfiqar rose, everyone's gaze turned. Wherever it turned, Gabriel followed behind it. The companions kept searching, wondering where it had turned. It had severed the head with such precision that it turned. The tyrant did not move from where he stood. The head had been severed long ago, but the body did not even know.
17- Jab Kar Chukay Tamam Yeh Qissa Shahe Najaf. Lashkar Mein Gonja Narah-e-Takbeer Safba Saf. Bolay Nabi Ali Ko Yeh Hasil Howa Sharf. Sab Ummat-e-Rasool Ke Amal Ik Taraf. Ta Hashar Farq-e-Kufr Pe Kari Yeh Zarb Hai. Saqlain Ki Namazon Pe Bhari Yeh Zarb Hai.
When the King of Najaf had finished this tale, the cry of "Takbeer" echoed row by row in the army. The Prophet said, "Ali has attained this honor; all the deeds of the Prophet's Ummah are on one side (and this strike is on the other)." Until the Day of Judgment, this strike is a heavy blow upon the forehead of disbelief. This strike is weightier than the prayers of both worlds (Saqlain).
18- Sar Amar Ka Rasool Ke Qadmo Mein Jab Rakha. Manzar Nazar Mein Mir Takallum Ki Phir Gaya. Darwaza-e-Batool Pe Gustakh Jo Howa. Mujh Ko Yaqeen Hai Paye Ga Woh Bhi Yehi Saza. Oss Ko Maza Imam-e-Zamana Chakhaein Gay. Sar Kaat Kar Batool Ke Qadmo Mein Laein Gay.
When he placed the head of Amr at the feet of the Prophet, the scene flashed before the eyes of Mir Takallum. Whoever was disrespectful at the door of Batool (Fatima), I am certain they will receive this same punishment. The Imam of the Time will make them taste this; he will sever their heads and bring them to the feet of Batool.
