The Haydari Project ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. We do not sell your personal data to anyone, ever.

When you create an account, we collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Email address
• Username
• Password (stored as a secure hash — never in plain text)
• In-app preferences you choose to save (e.g., notification or display settings)

We do not collect your phone number beyond what may be required by the authentication provider during sign-up, and we do not store it ourselves. We do not collect payment information, location data, browsing history, or any other personal data.

We use the information we collect solely to:

• Create and manage your account
• Authenticate you when you sign in
• Save and restore your in-app preferences
• Enable features where you choose to share content with other users
• Respond to support requests you send us

Account creation and sign-in are handled through OAuth. Your credentials are processed by the authentication provider and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers in plain text. We retain only your user ID, username, and email address after authentication is complete.

Some features allow you to share content with other users of the app. You control what you share. We do not share your personal account information (email, password) with other users.

We use third-party services only where necessary to operate the app (e.g., authentication providers, cloud hosting). These providers are contractually bound to handle your data only as directed by us and in accordance with applicable law. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

We retain your account data (user ID, username, email, and hashed password) for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS) and hashed password storage. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

The Haydari Project is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. We will respond within 30 days.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
